Exceptional fine wine experts Baghera/Wines regularly hold online wine auctions under the "Wine O'Clock" banner. At the latest sale, June 6, the Domaine Romanée-Conti wine estate once again hit the headlines with a Jeroboam of its 1999-vintage Romanée-Conti wine selling for 82,800 CHF, or approximately $85,247 (€76,300).
The auction specifically celebrated this renowned 1,500-year-old Burgundy wine estate -- which makes eight Grand Cru wines -- with 55 lots from the estate up for grabs in the "Immaculate DRC" sale. Revenue totaled 1.11 million CHF, or approximately $1.14 million (€1.02 million).
Romanée-Conti previously broke an auction record in February, with a lot of five 1999-vintage bottles selling for 78,000 CHF, or approximately $80,247 (€72,000).
The next "Wine O'Clock" sale will be held in September, focusing on Bordeaux wines.
